Home Now, a Look Back
Having been home for almost a week now, I can look back on our adventure and declare it a rousing success. Is it for everyone? Probably not. If you'd have trouble with long walks over uneven dusty ground, maybe it's not for you. Or if you've never been to a developing nation that has a lot of visible poverty and third-world conditions, and would be shocked or disapproving of it, best to stay home.
But if you're open to seeing friendly people from a different culture, if you're lucky enough to have a great guide (Mayer is now ranked as 16/120 in Egypt on Trip Advisor), and if you have a curiosity about the ancient civilizations and are willing to tromp thru the dust to see what they created, then maybe a trip to the Land of the Pharaohs is in your future.
Thanks for following along on my journey.
