Intro, Getting Ready to Leave

My visit to France and the Rhone River Cruise with my former teaching colleague  Georgia Lange   and her group last summer was a lot of fun, and I kept hearing from those who had gone, about how wonderful her Egypt tours have been. So when she sent out an email in the fall that she was planning another Egypt trip in February of 2023, I was curious and interested. The especially reasonable price for our 12-day tour was an added incentive. Long story short, I decided to join her tour and it is now just a few days away. One of the aspects of the trip that so many raved about was the tour guide, Egyptologist Mayer Magdy. He is, by all accounts, quite an expert on everything we will be seeing, is great at communicating with his group, and has a knack for keeping unwanted enthusiastic vendors away.
